While many other prepaid cards require you pay activation the Horizon Bank SSB Mango MasterCard Prepaid card does not charge you for signing up with them.  If your balance deposits reach $500.00 per month or more then you will not even be charged a monthly service fee.  (This would exclude however card to card transfers)  There are some small fees associated with using your card through the ATM machines and to make balance inquiries however compared to other cards the fees are rather minimal.  The fee for ATM withdrawals is just $2.00, which is close to what would be charged with a normal checking account. To check the balance on your account at an ATM the charge would be a mere $0.50 per inquiry.  (It should be noted that the ATM service provider may also charge the normal fee for using their ATM.)

There is a small opening balance requirement of $10.00 that is needed upon opening an account.  There is a withdraw limit of $500.00 - $600.00 if withdrawn in the United States.  If you wish to use your card outside the United States then your withdraw limit would be $300.00 - $400.00 all depending on your transaction limit.  When traveling outside of the United States and using your card there will be a small currency exchange fee of 2% of the amount withdrawn.  There is also an additional fee of $2.00 to withdraw money from an ATM outside of the United States.  This again however does not vary far from what the charge would be on a normal checking account.
